If you're flying from the capital city of Malaysia - Kuala Lumpur, you will need to take a domestic flight to Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA), which takes around 2 hours 30 minutes. Airlines that serve this route include Malaysia Airlines, AirAsia and Firefly.Alternatively, you can also fly directly to KKIA from Singapore. This route is served by AirAsia, Scoot and Singapore Airlines.For those travelling from Europe, the most convenient airlines are the Middle Eastern carriers such as Emirates, Etihad, Qatar or Turkish Airlines. They have daily flights from Dublin with easy connections to Malaysia.The journey from the KKIA to Shangri-La Rasa Ria is approximately 45 minutes by car.
